Pilgrims who come to gain the graces for the Jubilee Year of Mercy are asked to do various activities and pray in different ways. They are also asked at some of the six Stations of Mercy that we have in the Church to compose their own prayers.
These are some of the examples.
Lord Jesus, you saved me in your love by dying on the cross for me. Help me to die to myself so I may show your love to others. Amen
O Lord, grant peace in our troubled world through your Mercy. Amen
Father God, have mercy on me a sinner. Give me the grace to show mercy without judging those I meet in daily life.
Lord Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner. Help me to forgive those who hurt me and help me to pray for them. Help me to love you in everyone I meet. Amen
Lord Jesus, you gave your life to save me out of love. Help me to think of others’ needs before my own – to die to myself out of love for you. Amen
Dear Jesus, thank-you for all the good things in my life. In this troubled world, help us all not to lose hope in you and let your will be done. Amen
Prayer for a solution to my door.
Pray for the conversion of my family.
Pray for all sick and anxious people and refugees.
I pray for all those suffering in war-torn areas, that they manage to see safety.
Please help me Jesus at all times.
Dear Jennifer, I love you forever.
You little sister are the best thing that happened.
Pray that one day the world will be at peace.
Pray for all dementia sufferers.
Thank you God for my wonderful family.
I pray that Christians will come back to Christ and the Church
I would love to listen to what the children of the world would say
about trying to solve the war zone areas; about the greed and the homeless people.
It would be very interesting to listen to the ideas of the children.
Please pray for the many young people with mental health problems.
Please pray for all those who are sick in mind and body.
For those who do not KNOW Jesus.
For all those who are in the “transition” of their lives,
that they make decisions that are in your divine plan Lord.
Thank you Lord for your grace, mercy and love to all human beings.
Bring us all to your heavenly kingdom where we may praise and worship you,
King of kings, Lord of Lords forever.

It’s the little things that count. When the family is all home and house is hectic, one will say to me “You look tired and stressed Mum, take it easy”. That’s when I feel God’s mercy coming to me through them.
I remember once many years ago that I was having a bad day – work had been unusually stressful, many deadlines had been moved forward, friends were not available to talk. A young man stopped me at the bus station, smiled warmly and said: “You seem sad, are you O.K.?” I found myself almost moved to tears and opened up about that day. He nodded reassuringly and said: “it’s almost night time, tomorrow is a day full of promise – don’t be sad”. It was over 10 years ago and I still remember his kind words. Thank you, friend!
