Society for the Protection of Unborn Children: Coffee morning
Society for the Protection of Unborn Children are holding a coffee morning on Thursday 2nd March at 11.00 in the Narthex all welcome. Anyone interested in joining our group if you have questions ring David 451880 or Kate 435721 or just come along to the coffee morning. We hope to get some new volunteers to join our group at present we meet on 2nd Monday of the month from 8 – 9 pm.

The Leyland Festival – “Messy Church”
The Leyland Festival Saturday 17 June Churches Together in Leyland will have a “Messy Church” tent. Last year this event was very popular with many visitors. The theme for the Festival is “Movies” and CTL have chosen “Joseph and his Technicolour Dream Coat”. They would like each Church to produce a craft activity based on this movie for the “Messy Church event”. Would any parishioners be prepared to help? It would mean from 1:30 – 4.00pm. Interested in emotional and mental wellbeing and a good listener? PeerTalk is looking for volunteers to help run a second peer support group for people living with depression in Preston. Tools for Self Reliance
Tools for Self Reliance need volunteers to help move tools at United Reformed Church, Quin Street, Leyland on Tuesday 8th August at 10am. Anyone fit and able to carry tools from the basement to the street please come along and help this worthwhile cause. The tools refurbished by this group are being sent to Africa.

Work in the main church
Work in the main church Starting on the 18th of June it is proposed to carry out repair work to the corona and lantern. The main church will be closed for approximately six weeks. The Blessed Sacrament chapel will remain open in general but maybe subject to temporary closures.

Understanding dementia a FREE session Thurs 10 January 1.30 – 4.30pm Priory library specifically designed to give people better awareness and understanding of Dementia and Alzheimer’s. It will cover what it is and the needs of people who have the disease.
