LITURGIES AND EVENTS OF THE PAPAL VISIT:
Liturgies and Events of the Papal Visit There are beautiful booklets available for parishioners, one per family, of all that will be the official ceremonies during the Papal Visit. These are free. However the Archdiocese was given a sum to pay to the central organisation to help cover the Pope’s visit, and it paid in full. The money received from the official Archdiocesan collection was lamentably small so there is a big shortfall that the Archdiocese has covered. Therefore it is suggested that for these beautiful booklets we should make a voluntary contribution of £2 at least. This money will go to the Archdiocese to help cover the enormous expense the Church has to meet when a Pope comes to our country in 2010. There will be a retiring collection for this purpose.
PILGRIMS TO THE PAPAL VISIT:
Pilgrims to the Papal events. You should have received a letter giving many details of the trips to Birmingham and London. Please return the slips to us as soon as possible. The Birmingham Bus is full, while the London bus has vacancies. Please collect a liturgy booklet from Church today as above.
